Warranty – Terms and Conditions
01. Star Batteries are warranted against all defetcts arising solely from the use of faulty material or workmanship during manufacture.
02. The warranty commences from the date of delivery of the original purchase.
03. If any compliment, the battery is returned unopened and complete with electrolyte, freight paid to company. The replaced battery will be re-delivered to the same point.
04. The company has the right to determine whether a battery needs repair or total
replacement.
05. In-case where the battery is replaced, the defective battery becomes the property ofthe company and no scrap rebate will be given for it.
06. The warranty period of the battery being replaired/replaced shall commence from the date of sale of the original battery as statedin the warranty card.
07. Recharging is not covered under the purview of this warranty and shall be billed extra.
08. Defects arising out of the faulty vehicile’selectical system, negligent maintenance,
inappropriate charging and filling improper electrolyte are not covered by this warranty.
09. The electrolyte used must confirm generally to IS266 and IS1977 specifications.
10. Water must confirm generally to IS1069 and IS1964.
11. Container damage, post tampering does not cover the warranty.
12. All liablities under the warranty shall cease if the battery is transferred to any other vehicle.
13. Damge of battery due to contamination of electrolyte does not cover the warranty.
14. Failure of the battery due to deep discharge or overcharge does not cover under the warranty.
15. Warranty shall cease if the period between date of manufacture and date of sale of
battery is more than two months.
16. This warranty shall cease if the battery is found to have additives other than distilled water added to the electrolyte.
17. This warranty does not cover the damages to the battery caused by accidents, fire,
faulty electrical systems, improper handling, servicing by unauthorised dealers.
18. Incase a service battery is issued, it must be returned within 10 days, else a nominal charge will be collected.
